Pauline Walfisch, LCSW received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Queens College of the City University of NY and her Masters in Social Work from SUNY- Stony Brook.
Pauline has been working in the field of mental health for the past 13 years providing diagnosis, assessment and treatment as well as clinical supervision of other mental health professionals.
Throughout the years, through personal and professional experiences she has had a growing interest in reproductive mental health. She has been involved in advocacy campaigns to raise awareness of perinatal mood disorders, assisted in the development of a perinatal psychiatry program at a large academic hospital, and has presented at the NYS Perinatal Association on the evolution of an advocacy campaign. Pauline is a committed, caring, and compassionate social worker dedicated to helping others overcome mood and anxiety disorders as they relate to infertility and other perinatal mental health issues- such as postpartum depression.
Pauline is a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW)- NYC Chapter, the NYS Perinatal Association, The American Society for Reproductive Medicine(ASRM)- Mental Health Professionals group, and a professional member of RESOLVE- The National Infertility Association. Pauline has completed the Postpartum Support International (PSI) certificate training for Perinatal Mood Disorders: Components of Care.
